Are you an outdoor nut? Maybe you like heading out into the bush for a good bout with nature. Or maybe you simply prefer the peaceful side of life, and crave a break from the madness called suburbia. Regardless of your motives, the great outdoors is always waiting for you. However, you don't want to tackle it unprepared. Do you have the necessary survival supplies when you go camping, hiking, rock climbing, or kayaking? Okay, maybe you think survival supplies are for the amateurs. I urge you to reconsider. We're talking about your safety here; not to mention the safety of the ones you love.
Coming from a country background, I have always been an adamant believer in good survival supplies. You simply must do your homework before grappling with that beast we call nature. It's true, the outdoors can be a serene and relaxing environment, but it's also a fact that the great wilderness can kick your butt. What if you acquire a nasty bite from a poisonous snake, or get cut while whittling a stick? These may sound kind of goofy, but they're common occurrences in the real world. The key is thinking and planning ahead. Purchase the right survival supplies before you venture out on that date with nature. Some of the more handy and useful survival supplies I tend to take along are; a good knife, a first aid kit, a poison extractor, matches (waterproof), and extra clothing. These are my bare essentials. After growing up in a nature-loving family, I certainly got started at an early age. Most of these basic supplies you probably already recognize. However, if you've never seen a poison extractor before, let me fill you in. These are very simple and rather cheap life savers. You can find them online easily. They work on snake bites and bee stings. Let me tell you, if you do need one, you'll certainly be glad you brought one along.
