Sterling Silver Choker
I got a sterling silver choker for Christmas, and let me tell you, it was one of the best holidays that I have ever had in my entire life. I mean, I have owned a lot of sterling silver jewelry, and even some gold necklaces in my life, but nothing else had the simplicity and elegance of design of this one. The sterling silver choker was simple, with nothing extraneous to it. It was made with a folding clasp in the middle, hanging from which was a deep opal, highly polished and shaped like a tear drop. The sides of it tapered gracefully, and fastened in the back by a small chain, which could be used to adjust it to necks of different sizes. But the sterling silver choker fit perfectly for me.
Of course it fit perfectly; it was bought for me by my sweetie, and he always knows the perfect thing to buy me. He did not just hand it to me wrapped in a neat little package. Oh no, that would be too predictable for someone of his caliber. Instead, he had me close my eyes, than spun me around in a circle three times. While I was still dizzy (and slightly nauseous, truth be told) he held me in his arms and than put the sterling silver choker around my neck himself. Isn't that the most lovely gesture that you've heard about all day? When he did it, I literally swooned. Perhaps it was my chronic low blood iron and the being spun (I am anemic, and also subject to motion sickness), but I prefer to believe that it was a swoon of love. Love, and excitement over my new sterling silver choker!
The best thing about the sterling silver choker is that it reminds me of the man I love, and there is just simply nothing that can beat that. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy every single time that I put it on. However, it has many other virtues beside. A sterling silver choker can be worn anywhere that a silver necklace can be worn, from the business casual engagement, to something quite formal. It can be even worn for a night out on the town with the girls! But a sterling silver choker has a touch of class, even beyond that of an ordinary necklace. It says that the person wearing it has quite elegant tastes.
