Where do you call home? You know, that place you can kick back with a glint of nostalgia in your eye. Your parents probably live nearby, and the stress levels seem to dissipate. At least this is my personal experience with that place I call home. I actually didn't know what place that was for a very long time. Sure, I spent the greater portion of my life there, but how can we know any place is home until we venture out and experience other places? So this is what I did. After a number of travels, and living in three other states for several years, I came to the conclusion that I had a particular home. For me that place is Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Do you prefer the more secluded country life, or the chaos and amenities of downtown? This is a key factor to consider when purchasing a home. Especially your last home. I realized when I was sorting through North Carolina houses for sale that I was looking for that final purchase. The single home that I would keep forever, and raise my children in. Therefore many things came into play. Is the area safe? Does it have quality, high ranking schools? Is it going to increase in value? That one is always a concern for home buyers. We all want to find a nice home that's going to increase in value.
