When you are working towards making extra money from home, it is important to know how to find legitimate opportunities. Many times, people simply do not know how to find the work they are in search of, and actually get paid for it. You need to be aware of legitimate opportunities and bear in mind that there are a few things you should know to stay away from.
The first and most important rule to always remember is that you should never have to pay anyone to work for them, they should be paying you. So when you come across envelope stuffing opportunities that ask for a fee to be paid to cover shipping and handling, leave the opportunity alone and run the other way. It can not be stressed enough that while making extra money from home, there is never any valid reason to pay a fee even if it is supposed to cover shipping and handling.
If so many job opportunities have been ruled out because of the rule of no payment for work, what kind of work does that leave to making extra money? Believe it or not, there are legitimate ways to making extra money working from home. Many companies hire people who work from home as customer service representatives.
This can mean taking orders, answering questions, fielding troubleshooting calls, or a number of other customer related activities. You should know that although the opportunities in this field are legitimate, they offer a pay scale that is not guaranteed in most cases. You will usually see offers for a per minute talk time, meaning you are paid only when you are on the phone speaking with customers.
This is great news for people who are making extra money with busy clients, because the calls are there and the potential to make more than $12-$12 an hour is possible. However if you happen to get work with other clients that have a lower call volume, you may see paychecks reflecting an hourly wage of less than $5 an hour. The business of making extra money from home is a tough one, but if you are serious about the successfully learning how to make extra money from home you can definitely do it.
Start by finding work from home message boards, a lot of information can be found there in regard to opportunities and even scams to help you weed out the good from the bad. And don’t forget that you are not the only one looking to making extra money from home. The competition is fierce so never give up.
