Many local community colleges and some libraries offer classes at various levels to people who want to learn about computers, from the basics to more advanced applications. There are also many books to choose from on the subject, and can be checked out for free at the library or purchased at any local or online bookstore. Learn about computers with a “Dummy” book for basic computer information or for specific programs and applications. Another option is to learn about computers via online tutorials and informational websites. Kids and adults alike can learn about computers in no time! Kids pick it up really quickly and adults can do the same, but they may be a little more intimidated at first. It’s just amazing all the things we can do with a computer and the internet. Just fifteen years ago the World Wide Web was a far off dream, and now it’s a way of life for many. Computers are smaller and more affordable than ever and are a common fixture in many homes, just like televisions and microwave ovens. We all use computers everyday, like when we make a phone call and get directed to an automated menu. Soon even the minutest actions will be related to the use of a computer. What are you waiting for?
