Great Body

How often do you work out? You know that professionals say you should at least devote three or four days a week to a decent fitness regime. Most people simply spend too much of their time sitting down. This is not good for your health and it certainly takes a toll on your body's appearance. I mean come on; don't you want a great body? Well, if you're like most of us, you probably want to look your best whether you admit it or not. The question is; what exactly is a great body, and how do you go about getting one? The answer is rather simple, but may need to be adjusted for each individual.

I can remember back in high school, I was always that slim kid. I was the one who could eat anything I wanted and never gain a pound. At 6'1'' I only weighed in at 160 pounds. I know what you're thinking; big deal! Well, for me it became a big deal. Maybe I didn't want to be so slim. Maybe I wanted more muscle mass, but had trouble putting it on. For all of you out there that have trouble losing weight and can pack on five pounds just by looking at an ice cream sundae, there are others who can't gain a pound if they eat three large pizzas. Now you have to remember, a great body for a man is not exactly looking like a twig. This is why achieving a great body varies from person to person. Many individuals who suffer with weight gaining issues may have to diet and exercise on a daily basis to acquire that great body, while others will have to tackle a high protein, high carb diet in order to beef up. It's kind of amusing if you think about it, but typically neither side likes their situation. I know I didn't. I had to drink protein shakes three times a day along with my meals, in addition to pumping iron to attain that great body I wanted.

Are you striving for a great body? Don't fret; you will get there. It may be high time to consult a professional. A nutritionist and/or fitness trainer can give you necessary information so you can begin a realistic regime. With the right diet and the right exercise routine, you can achieve that great body you've always wanted. The key to this process is simple tenacity.
