Cheese Pizza
Pizza is perhaps the greatest food ever created. It is a universal product, able to please people of all ages, and even incorporate a giant rat into food marketing campaigns. There are a wide selection of pizza toppings to choose from and being able to pick and choose anything, from pepperoni to anchovies to ham and mushrooms, makes pizza all the more tasty.
But what is the deal with cheese pizza? What’s the point of eating pizza without toppings? Some pizza lovers prefer the simple taste of cheese pizza to the overwhelming taste of topping meats like pepperoni or sausages.
Some pizza lovers are also animal lovers and prefer not to eat any topping derived from cows, pigs or fish. Furthermore, vegans (strict vegetarians) feel uncomfortable eating regular cheese, knowing that small animal ingredients are included in regular dairy products, as well as knowing how cows are treated on the farm. Hence, many vegetarians will shop for substitute cheese and other products that are dairy-free. Pizza Hut, a major pizza chain, has started to sell soy cheese pizzas in selected areas and has received a lot of support from vegetarians.
Skimping on toppings and regular cheese can also help pizza lovers cut down on calories. Many low fat, low calorie pizzas, as well as 100% vegetarian pizzas without regular dairy cheese, are available in large grocery stores. Note that edible cheese pizza should not be confused with the Cheese Pizza Tavern Tour by the Wild Retro Band. While both may be cheesy, delicious and fun, one is a band touring across the Midwest and the other is available in the frozen food section of your favorite store. Only one of two is edible and melts well in a microwave. Cheese pizza is healthy, humane and just as tasty as the classic pizza meal.
