Book Club Lists

A few of the book club lists also include a variety of activities that a club can do that are related to the book that is being read.
There are many creative activities that can be done along with reading a particular book. Your group may want to check the book club lists to find books that take place in the region that you live in. The discussion of that book may include a visit to sights that are described in the book. If a particular restaurant or park is discussed in the book a trip to the location could be part of the clubs plans. The book club lists are a great source of information to add creativity and to have fun with your club.
One group uses the book club lists to access different regional cooking books. These are books that discuss the cooking techniques and ingredients of certain regions and cultures. The night of the discussion includes sharing recipes and dishes that have been talked about in the books. This type of activity adds to the entertainment of the book club and also makes learning different cooking techniques fun.
You do not have to strictly follow any book club lists in order to enjoy reading and discussing what you have read with others. The book club lists are available to help clubs, but they do not have to dictate what you read. The main purpose of getting together is to enjoy friends and to learn through reading together.
