I have been an attorney in Nashville, Tennessee for almost ten years now, and have been involved in the music business for 5. I can tell you, being a Nashville lawyer is a great life. There really is nothing better than working with young talent to help them develop their talent to the full. The music industry is brutal, and the studio people take advantage of young, naive artists whenever they can. There is no sure way to guarantee success, but acquiring the services of a good Nashville lawyer can at least help stop you from getting ripped off.
It's tougher than most places here, for young artists. It is going to be tough at the center of any industry – tough for actors in Hollywood, tough for writers in New York, and tough for country and western musicians down here.
