Christian Camps
My mother made me go to one of these Christian camps this year. Oh my God, can you say lame! First of all, I don't even believe in religion. It is just some junk that people tell each other to try to control how to think. I mean, who is stupid enough to believe that there is some invisible all powerful God watching over all of us just to make sure that we don't smoke cigarettes or stay out after curfew. But try telling my parents that. The more I do, the more they try to get me to go to church and to lame programs like Christian camps and Christian youth groups.
First of all, there has never been a bigger group of goodie-goodies than they have at the Christian camps. I mean, kiss ups every one. Every time that the counselors come by, these Christian camp kids start talking about the bible and Jesus, like they are bragging about how pure and holy they are. It is just like that movie saved. Whoever wrote it must have had a mother who sent him to Christian camps too!
But just wait until the Christian camp counselors are away. Then everyone has their true face come out. Boy are people back stabbing here. They talk about the word of Jesus, but they will all get you the moment that you turn your back. Christian camps are every bit as bad as any other summer camp, with the cool kids in this awful clique where they do nothing but bully the outcasts all day, and the act like they are all so high and mighty. Only it is even worse at Christian camps, because everyone pretends that their soul is oh so pure, and filled with the lord Jesus. God, give me a break.
If I ever have kids, I am never ever going to send them to Christian camps. They could get in to drugs, they could sneak out, they could do anything, and maybe I would punish them, but Christian camps are just too terrible a punishment. All of my friends get to spend their summers just hanging out, going to the beach, having parties. Heck, even going on family vacation would be better than the Christian camp scene. But my parents are so concerned about my immortal soul, that they don't even care that I am miserable now.
